OUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

In spring 2023 we would like to dismantle our ship again to get a comfortable cruise ship. Smaller trips to Tulln and in the summer also to Narrensporn are planned. After the extreme tour last year, it should be a comfortable season. At our new berth in Greifenstein, at the club

FHS-Austria, section "on the water"

we have every opportunity to do so. We feel very comfortable with our local friends and will stay there for the next few years.

Short story of our MS-Marbach

The MS Marbach was used as a bicycle and pedestrian ferry after the power plant was built in Melk. After the bridge in Pöchlarn was completed, this ferry was no longer needed, had served its purpose and was bobbing around in the port of Marbach and was due to be sold. In 2002 we bought the ferry and completely rebuilt the ship and from June 16, 2003 our renovated ship, ferry and day trip ship went into operation in the Nibelungengau. The demand was so great, the ship so popular, our area gradually expanded from Passau to Budapest. It was a great 20 years!

What can happen next with MS_Marbach?

1.

After some changes, back as a ferry somewhere in Europe!

2.

Back as a day trip boat, all equipment is ready for use!

3.

As a travel or expedition ship, like the last Danube cruise!

4.

With a few additions as a private residential and travel ship!

Plan 2023

We very much hope that the pandemic with all its restrictions will finally be over and that we will be able to travel freely again. We want to organize smaller trips to Tulln with our club members. In the summer months we are planning some bathing trips to Narrensporn.

Plan 2024

We are considering selling the MS Marbach. If this is successful, we will buy a smaller cruise ship. Based on these considerations, we do not want to make any major plans. We will see how it goes.

Plan 2025

Either with the MS Marbach or with the new ship, a trip along the Main, the Rhine/Main/Danube Canal, the Rhine and some tributaries such as the Moselle is planned. Other destinations that can be reached by water should be the goals for 2026.
